Fire In Flight – Easyjet Airbus A319-100 Flight 6407 Diverts to Bristol UK and Lands Safely

BRISTOL ENGLAND UK – An Easyjet Airbus A319-100, registration G-EZFV performing flight 6407 from Newcastle UK to Malaga Spain was at a flight level of 39,000 ft. and southwest of Bristol UK when the crew donned their oxygen masks, declared emergency and diverted to Bristol for a safe landing.

The Aircraft landed about 23 minutes later.

A replacement Airbus A319-100 reached Malaga with a delay of 4 hours 45 minutes.

A passenger reported there had been fire on board.

A listener on an aircraft AIR frequency reported the crew was on oxygen masks during their approach to Bristol.

The airline confirmed a minor technical problem prompting the diversion and maintenance found the aircraft unserviceable.
